Coordinator, Talent & Culture

Kirco Management Services LTD•Troy, MI
•$50,000 - $60,000

About The Position

KIRCO is looking for an enthusiastic and highly organized HR Coordinator to join our Talent & Culture team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is early in their HR career and eager to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow within both the HR field and our organization. We are looking for more than someone who can complete a list of tasks. The right person will be curious, dependable, personable, proactive, and excited to learn. You should enjoy working with people, staying organized, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, and being part of a collaborative team. This role will provide exposure to several areas of Human Resources, including recruiting, employee communications, HR systems, onboarding, training, and company culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of professional experience; previous HR, recruiting, administrative, internship, or coordination experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Is genuinely interested in building a career in Human Resources.
  • Has a positive attitude and is excited to learn new things.
  • Takes initiative rather than always waiting to be told what to do next.
  • Is highly organized and enjoys keeping track of multiple priorities.
  • Communicates professionally and comfortably with candidates, Associates, and leaders.
  • Is comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
  • Has strong attention to detail and follows through on commitments.
  • Can handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a team.
  • Is comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and continuing to develop professionally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an HRIS, applicant tracking system, intranet, or content management platform is helpful but not required—we're willing to teach the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate candidate interviews and manage interview calendars across multiple hiring managers.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the interview and hiring process to provide a positive candidate experience.
  • Review resumes and applications to help identify candidates who align with position requirements.
  • Assist with initial candidate screening and recruiting activities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information and assist with tracking open positions and recruiting activity.
  • Support job postings, interview preparation, and other recruiting-related administrative needs.
  • Help manage and maintain the company's internal intranet, including posting announcements, resources, company updates, and other content.
  • Partner with Talent & Culture and other departments to keep internal information organized, accurate, and up to date.
  • Assist with company-wide communications, employee announcements, events, and engagement initiatives.
  • Look for ways to make internal information easier for Associates to find and use.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new Associates.
  • Help coordinate training programs, meetings, company events, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support HRIS data entry, reporting, recordkeeping, and general HR administration.
  • Maintain organized and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Assist the Talent & Culture team with special projects and evolving department needs.
  • Learn and gradually take on additional HR responsibilities as knowledge and experience grow.
