About The Position

Davidson-Davie Community College is an award-winning institution committed to student learning, success, and the economic growth of its communities. The Coordinator, Storm Campus Connections manages the day-to-day operations of the Campus Connections Office, serving as a student advocate and resource navigator. This role connects students to critical support services, public benefits, and community resources to reduce barriers and promote student persistence, retention, and completion. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Student Belonging & Well-Being and collaborates with campus departments, community agencies, and external partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social work, human services, or a related field
  • Experience in customer service and/or direct delivery of student services

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight for the daily operations, service delivery functions, and strategic initiatives of the Campus Connections Office to ensure efficient, student-centered basic needs, non-academic, and holistic support services that promote student well-being, access, and success.
  • Supports Student Life with the coordination, operation, outreach, resource management, and student support functions associated with the Strom Food Pantry.
  • Provides direct student support through intake assessments, case management, advocacy, crisis response, and resource coordination to address academic, personal, financial, and basic needs barriers impacting student success.
  • Assists students in accessing, navigating, and obtaining campus, community, and public assistance resources including healthcare, SNAP, child care, emergency assistance, tax preparation, financial wellness, and other support services.
  • Assists students with completing applications, verification documents, forms, referrals, and other required paperwork related to benefits eligibility, institutional resources, and community-based services.
  • Coordinates and facilitates referrals and collaborative support efforts with internal departments, faculty, staff, community agencies, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and external service providers to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive student support.
  • Develops, implements, and supports outreach, engagement, marketing, communication, and awareness initiatives to increase visibility and utilization of Campus Connections programs, services, and resources among students, employees, and community partners.
  • Maintains accurate, timely, confidential, and compliant records, case notes, referrals, reports, outcomes, and program data within designated systems to support documentation, assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Monitors, tracks, analyzes, and evaluates service utilization, program effectiveness, student outcomes, and operational trends to support data-informed decision-making, assessment, and strategic planning.
  • Provides supervision, training, scheduling, oversight, and support for work-study students, temporary employees, volunteers, interns, and tax site personnel associated with Campus Connections operations and initiatives.
  • Coordinates office administration, operational procedures, purchasing, budgeting, fiscal monitoring, expenditure tracking, reconciliation, and financial resource initiatives to ensure effective management of departmental operations and funding sources.
  • Supports grant administration and compliance activities including program implementation, reporting, documentation, data collection, monitoring, and coordination of grant-funded initiatives and related services.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, training, conferences, and ongoing learning initiatives as directed by the Sr. Director, Student Belonging and Well-Being.
  • Supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Davidson-Davie Community College through active participation in College events, committees, meetings, and institutional initiatives.
  • Performs other duties appropriate to the position and as assigned by the Sr. Director, Student Belonging and Well-Being.
