About The Position

The Coordinator, Special Projects is responsible for the day-to-day project management and administration of strategic initiatives within the Faculty of Education. The Coordinator works directly with the supervisor to develop and implement project plans, project-related tasks, and reporting activities. The role coordinates and facilitates communication, consultation, and engagement activities with key stakeholders. The Coordinator defines project scope and works directly with partners and other proponents to ensure successful implementation. The successful candidate can demonstrate strong skills in: project management methodologies, coordination and strategic planning; change management; problem solving and conflict resolution; organizational, administrative, interpersonal, facilitation and communication; research and analytical reasoning. Success in this position depends on the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with various stakeholder groups; develop business cases and risk management strategies; independently research, analyze, interpret, and respond appropriately in complex and sensitive situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field and four years of related experience, including experience in project planning and management, coordination, research, communications, and customer service or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities
