About The Position

Under the direction of the executive director of the Collin College Foundation, coordinate the Collin College Foundation Scholarship program. Manage student application cycle, applicant review process, and awards implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
  • two (2) years of related experience required
  • This position is Security Sensitive, therefore, candidates will be subject to a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Foundation’s biannual scholarship application and awards process.
  • Develop proactive strategies to improve the integrity of the data in the donor database as well as the scholarship management database.
  • Monitor compliance with donor agreement guidelines and successfully align applicants to eligible scholarship awards.
  • Prepare scholarship application process for students and coordinates scholarship application reviewing and scoring.
  • Serve as liaison with software vendors and proactively engage in and advocate for efficiencies in the awards cycle.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for telephone and email inquiries from students, providing courteous, timely and relevant information on available scholarships, awards received and financial disbursements, application procedures, recipient qualifications and requirements, and applicable deadlines.
  • Track all application decisions, stewardship requirements, and outcomes.
  • Prepare scholarship data reports as requested.
  • Manage scholarship payables with accounting and financial aid and maintain correct available fund balances for award cycles.
  • Support the coordinator of events and other foundation staff in planning and conducting the annual student and donor scholarship dinner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
