About The Position

Coordinator-RN Peds works under the supervision of the Senior Nurse Manager and Clinic Supervisor. Assumes responsibility and accountability for the management of the Pediatric Allergy/Pulmonary, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Infectious Disease, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and Cardiology, General Pediatrics and/or Pediatric and Adult Medicine patient population on an ongoing basis. Integrates RN nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) and management (planning, organizing, directing and controlling) to provide services and continuity of care for the patient. Utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics in order to perform duties within the RN Scope of Practice. Has authority and accountability for coordinating pre-admission and post hospital care. Performs other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association required.
  • Valid driver's license required at time of hire.
  • Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality.
  • Use computer and software programs necessary to the position.
  • Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.
  • Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
  • Be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies.
  • Work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure.
  • Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate.
  • Accept direction.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Experience in clinical research preferred.
  • Spanish preferred.
