About The Position

The Coordinator, Community Fundraising supports initiatives and strategies around Construction Hike for Hope, as well as both Community and Campus Walks. This role will have a focus on supporting peer to peer revenue events through content management, fundraising coaching, event analysis, and strategy development. Additionally, this role works closely with the Senior Director, Community Fundraising to support the work of the Community Fundraising team in all day-to-day operations including providing event-related support and coaching to Chapter Staff across the country.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in Peer to Peer Fundraising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ experience in Peer to Peer Fundraising
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Microsoft Excel and Word) and Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) database systems; basic web editing; experience with peer to peer fundraising software; Canva design software; Monday.com project management platform; internet research.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Chapter Staff on implementation of peer to peer fundraising events within their chapter markets.
  • Create and maintain social media content calendar for peer to peer fundraising events to include fundraising best practices, marketing/recruitment content, and impact messaging.
  • Manage Community Fundraising inboxes and manage team workflow by determining proper assignment of incoming tasks/questions to team members.
  • Assist with the management of vendor relationships and facilitate routine vendor communication.
  • Manage and maintain updates to Out of the Darkness Walk and Construction Hike for Hope websites for all chapter event websites and national landing pages.
  • Provide customer service to event Chairs and participants, including website and registration support, responding to general inquiries, and providing information about AFSP’s fundraising and programmatic activities through Community Fundraising inboxes.
  • Assist Manager, Community Fundraising with research and tasks related to the support and cultivation of Community Impact Sponsorship relationships.
  • Coordinate report template requests and provide video tutorials on various reports.
  • Support Manager, Out of the Darkness Walks and Director, Peer to Peer Fundraising in drafting content for and facilitating all text-platform related activities to include reporting, staff/volunteer training, technical troubleshooting, creation of text message templates, and maintenance of texting platform for Community/Campus Out of the Darkness Walks and Construction Hike for Hope.
  • Assist Manager, Community Fundraising and Director, Peer to Peer Fundraising with creating and implementing email campaigns for fundraising events.
  • Assist the Director, Peer to Peer Fundraising in processing sponsorship and logo requests for Construction Hike for Hope, as well as processing any regional/national sponsorship marketing requests.
  • Assist with the creation and rollout of community fundraising event resources and materials, and perform routine audits and updates of event manuals on Chapterland.
  • Be available for open office hour sessions for staff and participate in Q&A during discussion.
  • Perform event and market analysis to provide recommendations for peer to peer event goals for individual events.
  • Take the lead on collecting, verifying and managing event projections for all community fundraising events.
  • Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
