About The Position

The Patient Financial Services Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting revenue cycle operations through workflow optimization, system build support, operational documentation management, and regulatory and payer research. In partnership with leadership, frontline teams, and Compliance, this role advances efficient, compliant processes and supports initiatives designed to strengthen operational performance across all service areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business/Finance Administration, or related field, or five (5) years of recent experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, medical insurance, and/or financial analysis.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent healthcare experience in areas such as care delivery, revenue cycle, financial analysis, or related functions.
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, PowerPoint) and comparable applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage small to medium-scale initiatives within patient financial services.
  • Skilled in coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive process improvements.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and deliverables simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Skilled at balancing competing operational and financial demands.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and streamline processes.
  • Effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex financial and operational information clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business/Finance Administration, or related field.
  • Six (6) or more years of recent experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle, medical insurance, and/or financial analysis.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of working knowledge and hands-on experience with HealthPartners software and/or healthcare systems, including Epic modules (Cadence, Prelude, Resolute), OnBase, or comparable applications.
  • Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) – Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) credential.
