About The Position

The Coordinator Operations assists with managing the day-to-day operations of a hatchery, feed mill, transportation operation, or production complex. The role keeps official records and performs administrative supervisory work for the location manager. It reviews and sets production schedules; maintains, changes, creates, and approves weekly work schedules, including vacation and leaves of absence; manages the SAP Purchase Order System; administers the safety program; and performs other duties as required by management. This position coordinates and supports moderately complex departmental assignments under general supervision, exercising some independence and applying comprehensive knowledge of how departmental operations affect related work units. It may provide tactical guidance or recommendations to internal and external customers to resolve issues within established guidelines. The role has no supervisory responsibilities and requires minimal travel. The worksite is a biosecurity environment. Team members must shower before entering and may need to shower multiple times during the workday. The company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. Jewelry is not permitted except medical ID jewelry, and team members must agree to avoid contact with avian species. The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Required safety procedures and personal protective equipment must be used when visiting facilities. The position includes physical activity such as standing, walking, sitting, handling objects or tools, reaching, balancing, and stooping; occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. Safe lifting techniques are required. The company expects professional team members to use approved AI tools responsibly, safeguard sensitive information, follow company policies, and validate AI-generated outputs. Individual contributors are expected to integrate AI into daily work, improve efficiency, evaluate outputs critically, and use professional judgment.

Requirements

Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent experience; three or more years of experience is preferred.
Thorough knowledge of the work area and comprehensive understanding of how departmental operations affect related work units.
Standard computer skills.
Ability to coordinate and support moderately complex assignments under general supervision and exercise some independence.
Ability to offer tactical guidance or recommendations to internal and external customers to resolve issues within established guidelines.
Must follow biosecurity requirements, including showering before entering the facility and potentially multiple times during the workday; no jewelry except medical ID jewelry; and agreement to avoid avian species.
Must follow the Company Animal Welfare Policy.
Must use safe lifting techniques and be able to perform the physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.
Must follow required safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment when visiting facilities.
Must demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, following company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs.
