About The Position

The Coordinator, Operations & Logistics, centralizes and manages the physical flow of goods, inventory, and logistics support for BCZ CDC's retail and event functions across the Network. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, Operations, this role is essential for supporting large-scale retail and event activations that drive Economic Development Initiatives. The Coordinator, Operations & Logistics ensures that BCZ's physical operations — from inventory management and fulfillment to event asset delivery and procurement support — are organized, efficient, and aligned with the organization's mission and strategic priorities. Working closely with the Operations and IT team, the Brand Experience team, and the Event Crew, this role provides the logistical backbone that enables BCZ's retail and event functions to run smoothly across all Network entities. The Coordinator, Operations & Logistics is committed to BCZ's mission to center Black culture, arts, and economic empowerment in support of the restoration, preservation, and place keeping of East Oakland's current and legacy residents and business owners. This role operates within BCZ's collaborative hierarchy — a governance model that emphasizes shared leadership, decentralized decision-making, and a collective commitment to our mission. While this role description outlines primary responsibilities, all team members are expected to contribute across functions as organizational needs evolve.
