About The Position

The Coordinator of Undergraduate Student Recruitment is the initial contact for students interested in pursuing an undergraduate major in the Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, and is responsible for educating prospective students and families about opportunities available at the University of Arkansas, specifically within Bumpers College. The Coordinator will plan and host on and off-campus events for prospective student visits for schools, students, and visits from admissions as they arise. This position will develop and manage a pool of prospective students for Bumpers College and plan and implement effective recruitment strategies/events utilizing market research and ongoing trend analysis to set goals and monitor progress. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Student Recruitment will develop initiatives to promote and encourage a student body that reflects the state's college-bound population and enriches the educational experience for all UA students; plan and/or represent the university and the college at recruitment events both on and off-campus as well as both in-state and out-of-state; design and coordinate recruitment events on behalf of Bumpers College; act as liaison to the Office of Admissions; and assume other related areas of responsibility as assigned or required by Admissions and Bumpers College. Overnight travel is a requirement of this position. The Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment travels across the state of Arkansas and nationally. This position also requires working occasional weekends and evenings. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one year of experience in academic recruiting, enrollment services, academic advising OR related transferable experience in education or industry experience related to Bumpers College programs
  • Must be able and willing to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in academic recruiting, enrollment services, or academic advising
  • At least one year of experience as an admissions counselor, student ambassador, or orientation leader
  • Knowledge or experience within the various programs within Bumpers College

Responsibilities
