About The Position

The Coordinator of Student Success is a strategic leader dedicated to removing barriers to student achievement. This role integrates data-driven attendance interventions, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), academic support systems, and transition programs to ensure every student is supported holistically. You will be the primary architect of a positive school culture, managing Section 504 compliance and designing incentive programs that celebrate student growth and engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
  • 3+ years in a school setting with a focus on student advocacy or administration.
  • Strong understanding of Section 504 regulations, MTSS/RTI frameworks, and PBIS strategies.
  • Proficiency in Student Information Systems (SIS) and data visualization tools.
  • High emotional intelligence, restorative justice mindset, and exceptional bilingual communication skills (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze daily attendance trends to identify "at-risk" students and chronic absenteeism patterns.
  • Facilitate attendance meetings with families, develop attendance contracts, and conduct home visits when necessary.
  • Implement school-wide campaigns to promote the importance of daily attendance.
  • Lead the implementation of SEL curricula across grade levels, focusing on resilience, self-regulation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Serve as the Case Manager for Section 504 plans, ensuring evaluations are timely, accommodations are implemented in the classroom, and annual reviews are conducted.
  • Act as a bridge between students and mental health resources or community partners.
  • Coordinate Tier 2 and Tier 3 academic interventions, ensuring students who are falling behind receive targeted tutoring or resource placement.
  • Design and execute "Bridge" programs for students transitioning between levels (e.g., Middle School to High School) to reduce "ninth-grade bulge" and transfer shock.
  • Develop and manage high-impact incentive systems (PBIS) that reward academic improvement, perfect attendance, and positive behavior.
  • Organize student assemblies, "Student of the Month" initiatives, and celebratory events that reinforce a culture of success.
