About The Position

The Coordinator of Student Recruitment and Engagement is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing special events, including but not limited to Shadow Days, New Student and Family Orientation, Summer Camps for students grades 5-7 and other promotional activities. Additionally, this role supports the enrollment process by assisting with registering, communicating, and managing participants or attendees. The Coordinator works closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth event operations and the successful recruitment and enrollment of students. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This individual will be an active member of our school community and thus expected to commit to the values of the school and its mission of preparing each student for college and life success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in school recruitment preferred.
  • Experience with Milwaukee Parental Choice Program preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge and understanding of the community served by Cristo Rey Jesuit
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task accurately between tasks and maintain focus in a vibrant school setting.
  • Attentive listener with the ability to respond to questions asked by prospective students and parents regarding the school, its policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service to all customers and stakeholders.
  • Willingness and availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and efficiently as an individual

Responsibilities

  • Establishes a pipeline program for students grades 5-7th from targeted schools in collaboration with the Academics, Athletics, Ignatian Innovation, Marketing Departments, and the Corporate Work Study Program.
  • Plans and coordinates on- and off-campus admissions events, serves as a liaison with appropriate departments, leads the Student and Parent Ambassador Programs by recruiting and training ambassadors, schedules ambassadors for events, provides logistical support for school programs like Open Houses and Shadow Days, proactively organizes recruiting efforts by visiting middle schools, churches, and community organizations, and offers administrative support to the department and main office as needed.
  • Supports the Marketing Manager in maintaining a social media presence regarding admissions-related content for Cristo Rey Jesuit.
  • Oversees the work of admissions student workers.
  • Engages with the community: Meets with parents, prospective applicants, and school representatives to promote Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Milwaukee.
  • Provides Administrative Support to the department and the main office as needed including, but not limited to, phone calls to parents and prospective students, organizing mailings, other department needs, etc.
  • Promotes the school: coordinate and conduct tours of the school and other activities for prospective students and their parents.
  • Manages department database: Organizes the collection, evaluation, and maintenance of information from prospective students such as application forms, financial aid forms, school records, standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, etc.
  • Prepares student application files to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
  • Prepares student Choice application files to be reviewed by the Choice Administrator.
  • Establishes connections/partnerships: develop and foster professional relationships with potential students and their families, faculty, and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment.
