Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Organizational Development or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience supporting student programming, student organizations or leadership development in higher education or a comparable setting.
  • Experience coordinating multi-component and/or cohort-based programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and support student programs and events that promote connection, leadership development and involvement.
  • Knowledge of student development, leadership education and organizational development principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise, coach and engage students and collaborate effectively with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and track participation and basic assessment data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and contribute positively to campus culture.
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability and sound judgment in a dynamic, student-centered work environment.
  • Proficiency with technology tools including databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to support student programs and events.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Launch Program, including participant meetings, enrichment opportunities, leadership development, mentoring, and recruitment.
  • Track participation, outcomes, and program effectiveness for the Launch Program, collaborating with campus and community partners.
  • Design, coordinate, and assess inclusive co-curricular programs and signature events that foster student engagement, leadership development, and campus connection.
  • Lead institutional initiatives such as the Community Scholars program and Student Involvement Fairs in collaboration with faculty, staff, and student leaders.
  • Advise and support student organizations, including student government and affinity groups, with leadership development, budgeting, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Mentor and coach student leaders individually and in groups to promote growth, belonging, and engagement with campus resources.
  • Maintain participation records, assessment data, and documentation related to student engagement and leadership initiatives.
  • Collaborate across the institution through committee participation and other assigned responsibilities to support college operations and strategic priorities.
