About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator of Box Office, Camps, and Conferences in Boca Raton, FL. This role is responsible for coordinating all Box Office ticketing for the Student Union and Arts and Letters theaters, providing direction to customers, and offering leadership to students or support staff/volunteers. The Coordinator will oversee and update Box Office policies and procedures in coordination with the Director of the Student Union. Responsibilities include managing Box Office operations for events in the Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium, Student Union, and Arts and Letters facilities, including building shows and managing ticket inventory. The role involves designing event listings on fauevents.com, communicating with promoters, and ensuring they meet all policies for ticket sales. Additionally, the Coordinator will hire, train, schedule, and supervise ticket office student staff, ensuring they are proficient in handling customer issues and explaining ticket sales policies. Excellent customer service skills are essential, including responding promptly to inquiries and training staff in customer service standards. The position also oversees all seating in the Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium during events, including training volunteer ushers and handling accessible seating. The Coordinator will attend Union team meetings and client meetings as appropriate, update Box Office policies and procedures, and oversee all ticket purchases and refunds. Reporting to Event Planning within 24 hours of shows for promoter settlements is required. The role serves as the primary contact for the Division of Student Affairs for Summer Camps and Conferences, coordinating weekly meetings with stakeholders and managing a master conference calendar. Processing applications for Camps and Conferences, including entering EMS, sending estimates, contracting, and invoicing, is also a key responsibility. The Coordinator will serve on university/divisional/department committees as needed and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
