About The Position

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator of Box Office, Camps, and Conferences. This role is responsible for coordinating all Box Office ticketing for the Student Union and Arts and Letters theaters, providing direction to customers, and offering leadership to students or support staff/volunteers. The Coordinator will oversee and update Box Office policies and procedures in coordination with the Director of the Student Union. Key responsibilities include managing Box Office operations, designing event listings, communicating with promoters, hiring and training ticket office staff, ensuring excellent customer service, overseeing seating during events, attending team and client meetings, processing ticket purchases and refunds, and providing reports for settlements. Additionally, this role serves as the primary contact for the Division of Student Affairs for Summer Camps and Conferences, coordinating meetings, managing a conference calendar, and processing applications. The position also involves serving on university/divisional/department committees and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating all Box Office ticketing for the Student Union and Arts and Letters theaters.
  • Providing direction to customers regarding ticketing for the Student Union and Arts and Letters theaters.
  • Providing leadership to students or support staff/volunteers.
  • Overseeing and updating Box Office policies and procedures in coordination with the Director of the Student Union.
  • Overseeing Box Office operations including ticketing for all events in the Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium, Student Union, and Arts and Letters facilities including building shows, and manage ticket inventory.
  • Designing listings for events on fauevents.com.
  • Communicating with promoters; ensures promoter has met all policies for tickets to go on sale.
  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising ticket office student staff.
  • Ensuring that all staff is fully trained in handling customer issues and explaining policies regarding ticket sales.
  • Demonstrating excellent customer service skills, responding promptly to customer inquiries and requests, and training all Box Office personnel in customer service standards.
  • Overseeing all seating in the Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium during events including training volunteer ushers, handling accessible seating, etc.
  • Attending all Union team meetings and client meetings when appropriate.
  • Updating Box Office policies and procedures in coordination with the Student Union Director as necessary.
  • Overseeing all ticket purchases and refunds.
  • Providing reports to Event Planning within 24 hours of shows to assist with settlements to the promoter.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Division of Student Affairs for Summer Camps and Conferences.
  • Coordinating weekly meetings with all division and university stakeholders to prepare for and conferences.
  • Coordinating a master conference calendar.
  • Processing all applications for Camps and Conferences including entering EMS, sending estimates, contracting and invoicing.
  • Serving on university/divisional/department committees as deem necessary.
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
