The Maintenance Coordinator is an hourly role requiring a combination of technical expertise, planning skills, attention to detail, storeroom organization, and the ability to work closely with the maintenance technicians. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include: Confirm that the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order (WO) portions of the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) are up to date and reflect the necessary maintenance requirements of our equipment. Use CMMS to maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance history, meter readings, and measurement points. Confirm that all equipment and machinery are maintained to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and serviced to extend their useful life and maximize their performance. Report weekly to the PM and WO completion percentage maintenance manager, and call out any critical gaps. Work closely with the maintenance technicians to identify needs and sources, parts, supplies, and materials required to maintain and repair equipment and facilities. Research and find the necessary parts based on the PM or WO. Submit Purchase Order (PO) or send parts quote to Purchasing Manager for final purchasing. Utilize best-fix parts sourcing in a timely repair while being cost-conscious. Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to monitor the timely delivery of required parts and identify and report any risks due to delayed delivery. Monitor inventory levels of critical parts and supplies to ensure they are adequate to meet the factory's needs. Ensure accurate inventory and accountability of parts room items. Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in the parts room. Work with the maintenance team to identify critical spare parts and ensure that they are always in stock. Adjust spare parts minimums and maximums based on usage, parts availability, shipping time, and re-stock time. Create, update, and verify PM’s meet maintenance requirements for proper line operation. Assign submitted work requests to maintenance technicians as work orders. Ensure timely completion of the date assigned, depending on the severity and sensitivity of the work. Receive and verify that all maintenance-related items shipped in from outside vendors, suppliers, and OEMs are inventoried and received as ordered. Follow up on any missing items.
