About The Position

This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment within the district. The role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and district standards, and managing budgets and resources effectively. The Coordinator will also be involved in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs and responding to emergency repair needs.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in mechanical systems maintenance and repair, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or coordination role.
Thorough knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Experience with preventive maintenance software and work order systems.
Strong understanding of safety regulations and building codes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management).
Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trades.
Experience in a large institutional or public sector environment.

Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance staff.
Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and budget performance.
