About The Position

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized HR Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This role will support key HR functions with a primary focus on benefits and general HR administration. It is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career HR professional who is proactive, eager to learn, and ready to grow within a fast‑paced CPA firm environment.

Requirements

  • The anticipated start date for this position is July 2026.
  • Must be able to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • 0-1+ years of HR experience or a completed HR internship, with exposure to benefits administration strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; UKG experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong relationships with various team members and stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other PKFOD office locations as business needs require, via personal vehicle or public transit.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a public accounting or professional services firm a plus.
  • UKG experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Benefits Director and HR Benefits Generalist with day‑to‑day benefits administration, including enrollments, leave of absence, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
  • Conduct new‑hire benefits orientation, ensuring employees understand available plans, eligibility, and enrollment processes.
  • Support annual open enrollment process, including communication, tracking, and system updates.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including but not limited to, monthly ACA reconciliation.
  • Maintain and update the firm’s Wellness Newsletter, including gathering content, drafting updates, and coordinating distribution.
  • Support wellness‑related initiatives, events, and communications throughout the year.
  • Assist the HR team with new hire onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team as needed.
  • Help coordinate HR events and activities across multiple office locations.
  • Support special HR projects and initiatives as they arise.
  • Ad hoc projects and administrative support as needed.
