About The Position

The Events and Corporate Relations Manager directs events for the Foundation. In addition, this position assists the FVCC President’s office and Foundation Executive Director with other events in community and on campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR, Associate’s degree in related field and two years of related work experience; OR, The equivalent of two years of progressive higher education and two years of related experience
  • Valid Montana driver’s license upon employment and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to provide quality customer service and collaboration by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a key representative of the Flathead Valley Community College Foundation and ensures quality and responsiveness as the first point of contact to the Foundation; provides excellent customer service for the College’s donors and constituents.
  • Manages Foundation ticket sales and event reservations.
  • As a Foundation team member assists with events and activities including communications, volunteer management and checklists.
  • Assists with Foundation Board management, including meeting coordination, agendas and minutes of board and committee meetings.
  • Supports the Foundation Finance Director with scholarship program and application review process.
  • Assists with database management; database mailings, communications, invitations, certifications, e.g., Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service (RASS)/ServSafe, and publications.
  • Writes acknowledgement letters and donor correspondence.
  • Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues; works closely with the President’s office and Culinary Institute of Montana.
  • Performs annual and periodic form and payment submissions including grants (e.g., Great Fish), alcohol permits, software renewals, and other contracts.
  • Performs general office support functions, including filing, records maintenance, purchase orders, office supplies, budgets, and deposits.
  • Serves as a member on various college committees and teams; meets with other college personnel for events, projects, planning, idea sharing, issue resolutions, and operational communications.
  • Attends related trainings, workshops, and professional development.
  • Cross trains to perform other departmental and team functions; backfills for staff as needed.
  • Actively participates in the development of a climate that promotes and supports innovation and efforts to continuously improve services to students, faculty, and the College.
  • Creates and maintains a collaborative and collegial environment with colleagues and maintains effective working relationships.
  • Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality of students and donors in accordance with applicable laws and policies.
  • Advances the mission of FVCC by serving on or convening committees and contributing in the community in college-related activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to the Chief Development Officer.
