This is a grant-funded position for an ESOL Coordinator at the Chattanooga State campus. The purpose of the institution is to support and empower the community to learn without limits, with values centered around a welcoming environment, well-being, integrity, innovation, and collaboration. The mission is to deliver accessible, innovative learning opportunities that enrich lives, develop a talented workforce, and partner with the community. The ESOL Coordinator provides direct academic assistance to students, designs learning resources and interventions for Supplemental Instruction, and supports English language learners (ELLs) in their transition to college-level coursework. This role combines tutoring, instructional design, and classroom teaching to promote student success in integrated reading and writing courses for multilingual learners. The successful candidate will teach Learning Support Reading and Writing for ESOL students, collaborate with faculty to enhance learning outcomes, and develop SI sessions and instructional materials aligned with course objectives. The position reports to the Director of ESL Services and works closely with Learning Support faculty, tutors, and academic support staff across the college to ensure equitable, effective learning experiences for all students.
