About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating all digital menu and signage requirements across various platforms at Rogers Place Arena, home of the Edmonton Oilers. The Coordinator will manage and update digital screen systems, ensuring timely and accurate content for events, and collaborate with various teams to execute promotional content and initiatives. Strong attention to detail, graphic design skills, and an understanding of food service operations are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Fluent in verbal and written English communication, with the ability to professionally communicate and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong proofreading, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Experience managing digital content, menus, or signage (e.g., digital menu boards, Ampboard platforms, or similar tools).
  • Strong working knowledge of graphic design applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of food service operations and the impact of menu accuracy on speed of service and guest experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Comfortable working with menu data, spreadsheets, and basic reporting to identify discrepancies and opportunities.
  • A blend of creative design capability and operational precision, with the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1+ year experience with digital content creation.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with Ampboards and/or IPTVs is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all digital menu and signage requirements across platforms.
  • Manage and update digital screen systems, maintaining proficiency in proprietary software.
  • Execute timely content updates on digital menu boards and screens, ensuring accuracy of items, descriptions, allergens, and pricing before each event.
  • Monitor screen performance and accuracy; troubleshoot minor issues and escalate to IT or our Partner as required.
  • Create and edit print-ready materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and sponsorship requirements.
  • Support layout design and organization of menu boards to enhance readability and guest decision-making.
  • Conduct regular audits of menu boards during events to ensure alignment with POS system data.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support troubleshooting and ongoing system functionality.
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Culinary teams to execute promotional content and initiatives.
  • Track menu changes and maintain accurate documentation for operational reference.
  • Maintain strong documentation practices, including version control, standardized templates, and reference materials.
  • Oversee and ensure consistency of allergen communication across all menus.
  • Support seasonal planning and special hospitality projects.
  • Provide additional support and take on responsibilities as assigned.
