About The Position

The Coordinator – CTE Special Projects & Campus Support provides districtwide leadership, coordination, and direct campus support for the implementation, continuous improvement, and strategic expansion of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. The coordinator leads assigned CTE initiatives and special projects; manages CTE-related College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) and Industry-Based Certification (IBC) improvement efforts; and supports campuses in strengthening student participation, achievement, pathway completion, certification attainment, and postsecondary readiness. The coordinator supports the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of CTE Programs of Study and career pathways based on student needs, workforce demand, postsecondary opportunities, state requirements, and District priorities. The position works collaboratively with CTE leadership to conduct systematic reviews of existing programs and pathways, evaluate opportunities for program expansion, strengthen course sequencing and program sustainability, and ensure alignment with current Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements. The coordinator provides instructional and operational support to campus administrators, counselors, teachers, and other stakeholders by analyzing performance data, supporting master scheduling and student pathway development, coordinating targeted improvement strategies, facilitating professional learning, and monitoring program implementation. The coordinator also develops systems, reports, dashboards, and recommendations that enable CTE leadership and campus teams to make informed decisions and improve student outcomes. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate in a Career and Technical Education program area or other appropriate Texas educator certification.
Minimum of three years of successful teaching, CTE, instructional leadership, or related educational experience.
Experience analyzing student performance, CTE, CCMR, accountability, certification, or other educational performance data.
Experience collaborating with campus or district leadership to implement instructional, programmatic, or student achievement initiatives.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Mid-Management, Principal, or other applicable instructional leadership certification.
Five or more years of successful educational experience.
Experience providing instructional coaching, professional development, curriculum support, or campus-level instructional leadership.
Experience with CCMR, Industry-Based Certifications, and CTE Programs of Study.
Experience supporting master scheduling, student pathway development, or CTE program implementation.
Experience coordinating districtwide initiatives, special projects, student events, or community partnerships.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate assigned CTE-related CCMR initiatives and implement strategies designed to increase student attainment of CCMR indicators and Industry-Based Certifications.
Monitor district, campus, program, pathway, course, and student-level CCMR and IBC performance to identify trends, achievement gaps, implementation concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve dashboards, certification tracking systems, student outcome reports, projections, and other progress-monitoring tools.
Establish processes for monitoring student progress toward Industry-Based Certifications and other assigned CTE performance indicators.
Collaborate with campus administrators, counselors, teachers, and CTE staff to develop targeted interventions, remediation plans, certification preparation strategies, and other supports based on identified student and program needs.
Provide CTE leadership and campus stakeholders with regular performance updates, projections, analyses, and recommendations regarding CCMR, certification attainment, pathway completion, and related student outcomes.
Evaluate the effectiveness of assigned improvement strategies and recommend adjustments when expected progress is not demonstrated.
Coordinate and support the development, implementation, expansion, evaluation, and continuous improvement of CTE Programs of Study and career pathways.
Support CTE leadership in conducting the District's systematic review and alignment of existing CTE pathways to ensure compliance with TEA requirements and responsiveness to student needs, workforce demand, postsecondary opportunities, and District priorities.
Analyze student interest, enrollment patterns, pathway completion, labor-market information, postsecondary opportunities, facilities, staffing, equipment, financial requirements, and other relevant factors when evaluating new or existing CTE programs.
Develop recommendations regarding the creation, expansion, modification, consolidation, or discontinuation of CTE programs and pathways based on identified needs and available evidence.
Coordinate or support the evaluation and selection of CTE curriculum, instructional resources, digital platforms, equipment, and industry-aligned materials consistent with TEKS, Programs of Study, IBC requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Collaborate with campus administrators and counselors to strengthen master scheduling, course sequencing, prerequisite alignment, student pathway progression, and successful completion of CTE Programs of Study.
Identify barriers that may limit student access to or successful completion of CTE pathways and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to develop solutions.
Monitor implementation of new or revised programs and provide follow-up support to promote fidelity, quality, sustainability, and desired student outcomes.
Provide differentiated instructional leadership, coaching, technical assistance, and direct support to campuses to strengthen CTE instruction, program implementation, and student achievement.
Conduct campus, program, and classroom visits to monitor implementation, assess instructional and operational needs, identify effective practices, and determine necessary follow-up support.
Provide timely feedback and recommendations to appropriate CTE and campus personnel based on observations, data, program reviews, and identified needs.
Plan, develop, coordinate, and facilitate professional learning related to CTE curriculum, TEKS alignment, instructional practices, assessment readiness, IBC preparation, program implementation, and other identified priorities.
Analyze student achievement, assessment, certification, enrollment, participation, pathway completion, and other program-performance data to guide instructional and program improvement.
Collaborate with CTE Program Specialists, campus administrators, counselors, teachers, and other stakeholders to identify campus needs, establish improvement strategies, and monitor implementation.
Develop resources, tools, guidance, and processes that strengthen consistency and quality of CTE implementation across campuses.
Lead and coordinate assigned CTE special projects, strategic initiatives, career exploration activities, student experiences, pathway showcases, competitions, and other districtwide initiatives.
Develop comprehensive project plans that establish objectives, timelines, milestones, responsibilities, deliverables, resources, and measures of success for assigned initiatives.
Monitor implementation of assigned projects, identify barriers or risks, coordinate necessary interventions, and communicate progress to CTE leadership.
Coordinate CTE recruitment, awareness, and engagement strategies with middle and high schools to increase student and family understanding of Programs of Study, career pathways, Industry-Based Certifications, and postsecondary opportunities.
Develop and support strategies designed to increase equitable student participation in and successful completion of high-quality CTE programs.
Collaborate with colleges, universities, business and industry partners, workforce organizations, community organizations, and other stakeholders to expand career exploration, postsecondary, work-based learning, certification, and industry-connected opportunities for students.
Support the implementation and monitoring of grant-funded initiatives, pilot programs, new program launches, and other projects designed to strengthen or expand CTE opportunities.
Represent the CTE department at assigned District, campus, community, postsecondary, and industry meetings and events.
Monitor assigned CTE programs and initiatives for alignment with TEA requirements, District expectations, approved Programs of Study, grant requirements, and other applicable standards.
Maintain accurate documentation, records, reports, and supporting evidence related to assigned programs, initiatives, performance measures, and projects.
Conduct research and remain current regarding TEA requirements, CCMR accountability measures, Programs of Study, Industry-Based Certifications, emerging instructional practices, postsecondary opportunities, and regional labor-market trends.
Use research, performance data, stakeholder feedback, and program outcomes to recommend changes designed to improve program quality, student access, efficiency, sustainability, and student outcomes.
Prepare reports, presentations, data analyses, executive summaries, and recommendations for CTE leadership, District administration, campuses, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with CTE leadership in the development and monitoring of annual goals, priorities, performance measures, and strategic initiatives.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with campus and District personnel and provide responsive, solutions-oriented service to internal and external stakeholders.
Protect the confidentiality of student, employee, and District information and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and administrative procedures.
Exemplify professionalism, adhere to the Texas Educators' Code of Ethics, support District policies and philosophy, and demonstrate conduct consistent with the expectations of a District administrator.
