The organization is seeking a Coordinator, Construction Services who excels in a fast-paced environment, possessing skills in contract administration, communication, and risk management. This role is crucial for supporting a variety of infrastructure projects for DCC's Client Partner, contributing to the delivery of infrastructure solutions that support Canada’s troops and national defence. The successful candidate will leverage their construction expertise, relationship-building skills, and contract management knowledge to ensure project quality and adherence to schedules.

Requirements

  • A blend of technical knowledge with solid communication and problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable on a construction site or in front of a contract document, and able to keep projects moving forward.
  • A college diploma in engineering, applied science, or a related field, plus four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of training and experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Expertise in project, contract, and risk management principles.
  • Ability to interpret drawings specifications and use relevant software tools.
  • A knack for building trust, giving functional guidance, and working effectively with cross functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification such as Certified Engineering Technologist or P. Eng.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and administering construction and service contracts to ensure full compliance with requirements and quality expectations.
  • Monitoring schedules, solving day to day issues, managing stakeholders, and contract communication.
  • Reviewing progress claims, negotiating scope changes, and interpreting contract documents with contractors, consultants, and Client Partners.
  • Identifying and addressing contract risks within your delegated authority.
  • Coordinating activities with site teams and other service lines.
  • Maintaining detailed site records, photos, activity updates, and documentation that tell the project story.
  • Ensuring health, safety, and industrial security requirements are met.
  • Coordinating consultant reviews and third party testing.
  • Managing contract financials and supporting business development opportunities.
  • Building strong, professional relationships across industry partners, Client Partners, and internal teams.
