About The Position

The EMTP/ACP Coordinator is an integral member of Saskatchewan Health Authority – Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Responsibilities include continuous quality improvement and coordinating best practices applicable to patient clinical care and safety for EMS in Saskatchewan. The EMTP/ACP Coordinator will be responsible for collaborating on patient care and safety policies and initiatives of various areas such as Critical Incident reviews, Standard of Work and Work Standard development, and quality improvement and assurance audits.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years’ experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic in a supervisory role (i.e. Field Trainer, Team Leader, etc).
  • Class 4 Driver’s License and Emergency Vehicle Operations training.
  • Advanced Care Paramedic currently licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
  • Class 4 Driver’s License and Emergency Vehicle Operations training.
  • Strong client focused interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the organization’s Work Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and exercise exemplary organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and credibility when interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, partners and vendors is essential.
  • Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Instructor Level in the following: BLS, ITLS, PALS, ACLS
  • Must be willing to obtain instructor status in the first 12 months of start date
