About The Position

We have an opening for a Coordinator, Billing Compliance. In this capacity, the Coordinator, Billing Compliance will ensure all bills firm-wide are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with the Client Billing Guidelines and the Firm's internal procedures. They will review and manage the audit of all existing and new matters opened to ensure compliance with firm requirements using appropriate billing system matter codes. This role involves coordinating with various departments such as Conflicts, Terms, Pricing, eBilling, Time, and Collections to ensure matters are opened in compliance with Paul Hastings requirements. The Coordinator will also support process improvements within Intapp Open and Intapp Time, and assist with projects to ensure matters are maintained to comply with client guidelines and to audit and improve OCG compliance. Additionally, they will handle secure communications with billing attorneys and CSS's regarding adherence to clients' requirements, respond to all billing requests, provide requested billing reports, and team with Financial Services to ensure proper support for billing updates and upgrade projects. The role also includes handling additional related projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in administering windows and web-based accounting programs, particularly for legal-specific accounting systems (Elite)
  • Advanced proficiency in document management systems (WorkSite, FileSite, DeskSite, Equitrac)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite applications
  • Advanced proficiency in financial forecasting programs (targetCash)
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and practices of accounting
  • At least 2 years of financial systems experience (required)
  • At least 2 years of general accounting experience (required)
  • At least 2 years of legal billing experience (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance (preferred)

  • Handle additional related projects as necessary
