About The Position

The Coordinator, Asset Management is responsible for administering and maintaining the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and supporting the development and upkeep of the web‑based geographic information system (GIS). This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of asset data, enabling effective reporting, KPI tracking, preventive maintenance, and long‑term asset lifecycle and capital planning. The position supports operations teams by providing reliable asset information that underpins safe, compliant, and efficient utility operations. Fleet administration is a secondary responsibility, along with support for system enhancements, continuous improvement initiatives, and end‑user training. The starting salary range for this position is $56,000 - $70,000 CAD, with the final salary determined by the successful candidate's skills, experience, and anticipated impact within the role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (post‑secondary education in asset management, engineering technology, GIS, or a related field is an asset).
  • 1-3 years experience in asset management within an infrastructure, municipal, or institutional environment experience working with CMMS and/or GIS systems would be a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel or similar tools.

  • Certification or coursework in Asset Management, GIS, CMMS administration, or Project Management.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the CMMS, ensuring asset, maintenance, and work order data remains accurate and current.
  • Support operations teams in developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs.
  • Maintain GIS datasets, including asset registries, spatial data, and related attributes.
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of asset registries and replacement schedules.
  • Prepare and maintain KPIs to monitor maintenance performance, compliance, and data quality.
  • Facilitate data collection and analysis for monthly KPI and management reports.
  • Develop and maintain asset management dashboards for operational and leadership use.
  • Manage the development and annual updates of Repair & Replacement (R&R) sheets.
  • Manage the company fleet, ensuring compliance with internal policies, applicable laws, and industry best practices.
  • Track, procure, and maintain company vehicles and related documentation.
  • Implement and monitor telematics systems, providing fleet performance and safety metrics to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, videos, and process documentation.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to CMMS and GIS users.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to asset management systems and data governance.
