About The Position

The Coordinator, Academic Program, oversees the successful delivery of the academic programs in the School of Computing Science. This position will mainly be focusing on the School's thesis-based Masters and PhD Programs. This position is responsible for graduate program admissions, engagement, and students' academic progress. The individual supports faculty in curriculum program changes and manages the ongoing evaluation/planning of the administrative and recruitment activities for the Program, including oversight of the Program’s web presence, social media activities, and provides academic advice and administrative support to current and prospective students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computing Science or a related discipline, and three years of related experience, including experience in program administration and academic advising within a post-secondary setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
  • Proficient in the use of student information and enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies.
  • Excellent project management and event planning skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the successful delivery of academic programs in the School of Computing Science, focusing on thesis-based Masters and PhD Programs.
