Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • French language (advanced level: spoken and written)
  • Currently pursuing studies in the field of Engineering, Human Resources (HR) or Operations and Production Management (OPM)
  • Mastery of basic office software (mainly: Excel, Outlook, One Note)

Nice To Haves

  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Autonomy, leadership, sense of priorities, initiative and diplomacy
  • Experience in manufacturing, lean manufacturing, SAP software, experience in change management

Responsibilities

  • Manage employees in a unionized environment by working closely with the supervisor (ensure smooth day-to-day operations, assign tasks, act as a resource person for the department, apply the rules of the collective agreement).
  • Act as an agent of prevention and compliance with occupational health and safety rules.
  • Take charge and deploy strategies to reduce non-quality.
  • Take charge of projects (layout, health and safety, environment, productivity, etc.) allowing for the continuous improvement of the department.
