About The Position

This pipeline requisition is intended to source student candidates for Abbott’s UR Program in Puerto Rico for January 2026. Positions will be based at Abbott sites in Arecibo, Barceloneta, and Caguas. Students will support Abbott plants in the Technical Support area, providing services based on knowledge acquired through engineering coursework.

Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of software and tools such as Excel spreadsheets, Word, ER, and general PC use.
• Available to work overtime and weekends, if necessary.
• Be a senior (4th or 5th year) student in Mechanical, Chemical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Abbott plants in the Technical Support area.
• Provide services based on knowledge acquired during engineering classes.
