About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician is to perform thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced, changing environments. This position requires frequent travel to customer locations across the Northeast, including Maine, New York, New Hampshire, and Vermont.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Experience power washing or industrial cleaning
  • Prior experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.
  • Negative 10 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to designated meeting locations.
  • Satisfactory background check.
  • Some late nights, occasional overnight work, and overtime when available.
  • Early start times (sometimes as early as 4:30 AM).
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for early-morning schedules.
  • Smartphone proficiency for scheduling and communication (Gmail, Dropbox, OneDrive, Adobe, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved cleaning methods
  • Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures for each task
  • Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up
  • Accurately follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Complete required safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork
  • Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling procedures
  • Read and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) as required
  • Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic while representing the company at client sites
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
