About The Position

The Cook prepares food for service at the Hilton Garden Inn, Nature Center, in Springfield, Missouri. The role is part of OHM’s Food & Beverage team, which supports cross-training and teamwork across Culinary, Front of House, and Banquet operations. Team members may learn new skills, work in different areas of the business, support colleagues, and contribute to guest experiences.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to resolve problems efficiently and multitask effectively.
• Maintain a positive reputation within the community.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 40 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of line cook experience preferred.
• Culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the cooking station for service.
• Cook orders promptly and accurately, ensuring high-quality presentation.
• Follow state food safety requirements for food storage and preparation.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Facilitate shift changes and communicate pertinent information.
• Embrace and promote company culture and safety practices.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
