About The Position

The Cook is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. This includes the ability to prepare large orders in a manner that preserves the quality of each plate. The Cook must be able to effectively make adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience to all customers, reading tickets and making food according to guest specifications, including any modifications. Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement. The Cook will develop, maintain, and enhance positive relations with all guests and employees, and must wear and maintain all uniforms properly, including a nametag and a gaming license if in possession of one. Maintaining a clean workstation and assisting in keeping the kitchen clean and organized is crucial. The Cook will alert their supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all food, and perform duties in compliance with health standards, Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures. Maintaining alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times is expected. The Cook receives training, technical direction, and guidance from the Prep Cook Lead, Floor Supervisor and/or Kitchen Manager, and performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent in education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience is preferred, specifically within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
