About The Position

The Cook is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. This includes the ability to prepare large orders while preserving the quality of each plate and making adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience. The Cook reads tickets and prepares food according to guest specifications, including modifications. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing positive relations with guests and employees, proper uniform and nametag maintenance, and wearing a gaming license if applicable. The Cook must maintain a clean work station and assist in keeping the kitchen clean and organized, alerting supervisors of any concerns regarding food quality, selection, or variety. Duties are performed in compliance with health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies. The Cook must maintain alertness and awareness of restaurant operations, receiving training and guidance from the Prep Cook Lead, Floor Supervisor, and/or Kitchen Manager. Other duties and special projects may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent in education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience is preferred, specifically within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.

  • Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of restaurant operations at all times.
  • Receives training, technical direction, and guidance from the Prep Cook Lead, Floor Supervisor and/or Kitchen Manager.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
