About The Position

Stroudwater Lodge is hiring a per-diem Cook for its culinary team. This all-hands role moves between the kitchen and dining room, providing assistance wherever needed. Working closely with the Culinary Director, the Cook helps prepare, cook, serve, and clean up meals for residents. The role offers flexible scheduling and a more predictable pace than restaurant work, along with opportunities to use culinary creativity and build connections with residents.

Requirements

• Be open to changing roles and helping in different areas as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude, especially during busy periods.
• Be patient and understanding when residents or customers have requests or concerns.
• Notice when cleaning is needed and help keep dining areas tidy and safe.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant or customer-service experience; training is available for candidates who are eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food as needed under the direction of the Culinary Director.
• Speak with residents in a friendly manner, share the daily menu, and help ensure they are satisfied.
• Serve dishes to residents kindly.
• Assist with cooking during meal service.
• Help clean pots and pans and keep kitchen areas tidy.
• Maintain clean kitchen and dining areas and follow food-safety rules.
