About The Position

Brandywine at Phoenixville by Monarch Communities is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve meals for senior living residents, their families, and guests. The Cook studies recipes, sets up menus, and prepares high-quality dishes while following sanitation regulations. The role also includes accurate record keeping, receiving and rotating products, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. The Cook prepares and delivers a complete menu for the senior living community, including meals that address special dietary needs and texture-modified food as directed.

Requirements

Maintain a current ServSafe certification or be able to obtain one.
Have one year of job-related experience, including food preparation, full-line menu items, and special diets.
High school diploma or GED accepted.
Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills, good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Be able to perform the physical duties of the role, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and using proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve quality meals.
Meet special dietary needs and prepare texture-modified food as directed.
Comply with record-keeping, food-safety, and risk-management requirements.
Monitor food preparation, storage, and handling to follow HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols and comply with food-service regulations and policies.
Maintain accurate hot and cold food, refrigerator, and freezer temperature logs.
Study recipes, set up menus, and prepare high-quality dishes.
Receive, rotate, and inventory products.
