About The Position

As a Cook at Habit Burger & Grill, you will prepare menu items, including Charburgers and salads, while rotating through kitchen stations such as Fryer, Broiler, Make-Up, and Quarterback. The company provides training in food preparation, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness, and supports the development of team members’ skills.

This role involves preparing multiple orders at once, restocking and safely rotating food and supplies, using cooking equipment, following food-safety and sanitation standards, and maintaining a clean work area and equipment. The position is part-time and requires a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs.

Requirements

• Food Handler’s Card or certification may be required according to local and/or state regulations.

• Manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods according to standard recipes while working on several orders simultaneously.
• Restock food items and kitchen supplies; store and rotate food properly and safely.
• Operate cooking equipment such as flat grills, char broilers, fryers, and slicers.
• Comply with standards for personal safety, food safety, sanitation, hygiene, appearance, and uniform.
• Follow proper food preparation and handling techniques.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain equipment, cooking surfaces, and utensils used in food preparation.
