About The Position

Lorien Columbia is looking to hire a Dietary Cook-Prep Cook to join our team. We are looking for a cheerful and enthusiastic cook who is eager to seek out new cooking methods/principles and incorporate them into existing dietary practices. Our facility offers a full range of services, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy, and is home to the only Korean nursing unit in Howard County. Requirements

Full Time, Part Time and PRN Hours
Schedule: 5:30a-2p, 11:30a-8p
Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.

Responsibilities

Serve Safe Certification, a plus
Knowledge of Dietary procedures
Batch Cooking
Sanitation Knowledge
Proper Knife Skills
Integrity and a strong work ethic
Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and the willingness to help where and when it is needed
Cooking in a healthcare setting huge plus!
