We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Cook for our unit. This position is crucial for our patients' recovery and involves various food service tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor. All applicants must complete a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana, along with a comprehensive background check and a TB test.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Must lift at least 40 pounds and use kitchen equipment safely.
Valid driver's license and insurability.
SERV Safe Certification.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience in a restaurant or a related cooking setting.

Responsibilities

Cooks in quantities according to the menu and the number of people served.
Bake bread, rolls, pastries, and prepare desserts.
Cleans carts, racks, prep tables, sinks, dish machines, and floors.
Develops, compiles, and maintains food records regarding meal count, usage, production, and temperature logs.
Helps inventory supplies and equipment.
Refill, stock, and rotate food items using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.
Assists in checking in and putting away deliveries from food vendors.
Break down boxes and dump trash as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
