About The Position

Manatee Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time Cook for Nutrition Services. The Cook prepares and cooks food for patients, the cafeteria, and catering, with an emphasis on quality. The role follows standardized recipes and strict sanitation guidelines established by the State of Florida Health Department, maintains food temperatures throughout preparation, and demonstrates Service Excellence. The Cook also follows applicable regulatory requirements and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of cooking experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• ServSafe certification or another related food handler certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and garnish food for patients, cafeteria, and catering services using standardized recipes.
• Use equipment safely and effectively, and organize and plan production to meet menu expectations.
• Follow the appropriate menu and production guide.
• Maintain food temperatures throughout the preparation cycle.
• Clean work spaces, ovens, fryers, grill, steam kettle, refrigerators, and stove according to the posted cleaning schedule.
• Follow regulations required by the State, Medicare, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory organizations.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence and perform other duties as assigned.
