About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners (FPACP) is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team at Focused Care at Center. The Cook is responsible for preparing all meal items in accordance with the menu, resident preferences, and dietary needs, while ensuring adherence to quality and safety policies and procedures during food production. FPACP fosters a culture of recognition through its ROCKStar program, encouraging team members to excel and be recognized for their outstanding care and kindness.

Requirements

Must have a ROCKSTAR attitude.
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, communicate effectively, and carry out verbal and/or written instructions.
Must have knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and hygienic methods.
Food Safety Manager Certification required to be presented within 30 days of hire.
Must be able to follow recipes and use basic math.
Must be able to lead the team in the absence of the Director of Food & Nutrition Services.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year of cooking experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Experience in a healthcare kitchen setting will be considered.

Responsibilities

Prepare all food items according to pre-determined menus, resident diets, and preferences identified on tray cards.
Perform daily scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with sanitation, safety, and infection control policies and procedures, including sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing walls and equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Understand and execute the ordering, receiving, storing, preparing, and serving of food process within the Department of Food & Nutrition Services.
Safely utilize equipment and immediately report any equipment needing service or repair.
Ensure that all work areas are maintained, keeping them clean and safe in accordance with sanitary, safety, and infection control procedures.
Maintain regular attendance in accordance with FPACP attendance policy.
Promote positive customer service with residents, family members, guests, and team members.
Use appropriate workplace behavior and adhere to the Department Food & Nutrition Services dress code.
Perform other duties as needed.
