About The Position

Small Hands Big Dreams of Bainbridge, a five-star preschool and child care center, is hiring a full-time cook to prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals for children. The position works approximately 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, excluding weekends, and is considered full-time.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Pass a criminal background check.

Experience in kitchen work and food handling.

Responsibilities

Carry out the daily food program effectively.
Understand and follow CACFP regulations and guidelines.
Deliver meals to each classroom at designated times and collect dishes from classrooms in a timely manner.
Follow planned menus and document menu changes on the center menu.
Maintain the kitchen and follow the cleaning and sanitizing schedule.
Write and maintain a recipe book of recipes used.
Keep food and inventory organized.
Cut foods that may pose choking hazards for children before delivery.
Provide classrooms with utensils for serving and cutting.
Prepare and serve meals at center events.
Provide food alternatives for children with allergies.
Place food and supply orders on Mondays or another designated day.
Maintain healthful procedures.
