About The Position

Lakeshore is seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook for its Culinary Services team at an American House Senior Living Community. The Cook prepares and serves nutritious, restaurant-quality meals and beverages for residents and guests and helps create an exceptional dining experience. This hands-on role supports the daily operation of kitchen and dining services. Candidates from restaurant, banquet, catering, hospitality, and other food service backgrounds are welcome.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic culinary and food preparation skills.
• Passion for serving seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work some weekends.
• Must pass a background check and TB test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of experience in food service, dietary services, or restaurant operations.
• Experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality environments.
• Experience working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals and beverages for residents and guests.
• Cook from scratch and execute a variety of menu items.
• Assist with daily specials and accommodate special meal requests.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with state and local regulations.
• Complete assigned kitchen preparation and cleaning duties.
• Assist with food preparation and service for community events and special functions.
• Follow work schedules, cleaning assignments, and company policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and proper uniform.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director.
