About The Position
ELS is hiring a seasonal Cook at Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Resort in Odessa, Florida. The Cook prepares and serves quick-service food and beverage items in a fast-paced environment at the golf courses and/or shooters club kitchens. The role involves keeping the workspace clean and providing efficient, friendly service to guests and residents. The Cook prepares short-order menu items, maintains kitchen safety and sanitation, monitors food handling and temperatures, rotates and restocks inventory, fulfills orders, and cleans cooking and dining areas. The position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work may include nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Requirements
- Previous food service or quick-service kitchen experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good time management, teamwork, and effective communication skills.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as required.
Nice To Haves
- Food Handler or ServSafe certification may be required by local laws or employers.
Responsibilities
- Cook and assemble menu items such as burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and fried snacks using grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment.
- Follow health department regulations, monitor food temperatures, and practice safe food handling.
- Rotate stock to reduce waste, label food correctly, and restock condiments, ingredients, and supplies.
- Greet guests and residents, take or fulfill orders accurately, and maintain a friendly attitude during busy hours.
- Clean cooking surfaces, equipment, counters, and dining or preparation areas throughout the shift.
- Prepare and serve quick-service food and beverage items efficiently.
