About The Position

The Cook at Miller’s Health Systems prepares meals and nourishments using standardized recipes for regular and therapeutic diets, with careful attention to appearance. The role follows regulations and company policies for diets, food-preparation standards, and infection control. The Cook provides oversight to the dietary aide during the shift and receives and inspects food deliveries for accuracy and quality. The position is part-time on the day shift, scheduled from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with pay of $16 to $16.75 per hour.

Requirements

• Have basic cooking skills and be able to follow a recipe.
• Be willing to learn and follow safety, preparation, and sanitation standards.
• Be passionate about delivering great customer service.
• Be able to work with a dedicated team and help direct others.
• Maintain a neat appearance and professional behavior.
• Successfully complete the pre-employment process and screening.
• Be able to pass a physical examination required for gainful employment within the facility.
• Satisfactorily complete required orientation and training.
• Be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
• Have previous food service experience.
