About The Position

Trail Ridge Senior Living Community is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals that support residents’ health, comfort, and quality of life. The Cook works alongside culinary and senior living team members to support kitchen operations and create an enjoyable dining experience for residents. This is a full-time role scheduled 10:30 AM–7:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with holiday work and weekend rotation required. Pay is $18.00–$22.00 per hour, with credit given for experience. The position is benefit-eligible.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
At least 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior services, or similar setting.
Experience with food preparation and handling.
Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work holidays and participate in a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

Prepare meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary requirements.
Prepare soups, sauces, baked goods, appetizers, desserts, and other foods.
Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.
Follow food preparation, handling, food safety, and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and other daily kitchen operations.
Collaborate with culinary and senior living team members.
Prepare appealing, high-quality meals that contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for residents.
