About The Position

Hilltop Community Resources is a multi-faceted non-profit organization dedicated to serving the community. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Three to six months related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Colorado Identification Card
  • Food Handler’s Card

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior aligned with Hilltop’s Assisted living Communities (ALCs) values, including Service 1 (how we treat each other) and Service 2 (how we treat our residents).
  • Complete basic meal specials, daily prep cooking duties, and prepare basic soups, sauces, and desserts from scratch to the Food Service Manager’s specifications.
  • Prepare and plate meal orders utilizing proper food handling and presentation techniques.
  • Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations for proper food handling, including hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing food service equipment.
  • Ensure food and supplies are at the correct temperature and condition upon receipt. Rotate and stock supplies according to health codes and Food Service Manager’s specifications.
  • Assist with catering duties as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safely storing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and bus tubs. Perform deep cleaning, sweeping, and mopping as assigned.
  • Inspect and maintain proper chemicals for the dishwasher.
