About The Position

The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring food is high quality, attractively presented, and served in a timely manner. The role follows health and food-safety protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and correct food temperatures. The Cook gets to know residents, their preferences, and their needs, and participates in resident orientations. This is a full-time position at Township in Battlefield, Missouri. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., and Monday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Pay is $19–$22.25 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Possess a current Food Handler’s Card as specified by the Department of Health.
Demonstrate skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
Have proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
Be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be comfortable working in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Be able to work primarily indoors and also work outdoors for events.
Be criminally cleared.
