About The Position

No other community comes close. The Promontory Club, located just outside of Park City, Utah is looking to fulfill a vacancy for Beach Club Cook - Full time Summer Seasonal. The Beach Clubhouse is a colorful environment inspired by the classic beach ball that brings back childhood memories. Serving Caribbean inspired light lunch menu options, the Beach Club indoor/outdoor café is a casual dining experience. The main function of a Cook is to create a culinary experience in a manner that is consistent with the highest standards of Promontory Club restaurants. The summer season will range from April through the end of September. This position will have the ability for top performers to continue their employment with Promontory after the summer season and become full time, permanent employees.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah Food Handler's Permit within two weeks of employment
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • One (1) years of previous cook experience is preferred
  • Previous experience working in a casual restaurant environment is preferred
  • Must have strong communication and skills
  • Must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Complete prep lists and projects in a timely fashion.
  • Organize stations and maintain cleanliness.
  • Put away orders and rotate stock.
  • Complete cleaning and organizational projects.
  • Make food to order and maintain high quality consistency.
  • Work independently and collaboratively, be punctual and well groomed.
  • Complete assigned side work prior to starting or ending a shift.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Beach Club Kitchen Manager.
