About The Position

The Cook prepares menu items according to established standards and recipes, providing high-quality food that is attractively presented and served in a timely manner. The role follows health and food-safety protocols, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and safe food temperatures. The Cook gets to know residents, their preferences, and their needs, and participates in resident orientations. This is a part-time position at Pinnacle Groves in Rogers, Arkansas. The schedule is Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The pay range is $18–$23 per hour. The role is primarily indoors, with availability to work outside for events.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Must possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified by the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with management, professional, and support staff.
Must be active and able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the day.
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable working near extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Must be able to work primarily indoors and be available to work outside for events.
Must be criminally cleared.
