About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team at Fremont located at 1520 E. Bates, Springfield, MO 65804. This is a Part-Time position with a pay range of $16 - $22.25 per hour. The shift schedule is Friday and Saturday from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. As a Culinary Craftsman, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring exceptional quality, attractive presentation, and timely service. You will also ensure health protocols are followed, including proper hygiene, sanitary food preparation, and proper food temperatures. Additionally, you will act as a Culinary Connector by familiarizing yourself with residents' preferences and needs and participating in resident orientations.

Requirements

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Possess a current Food Handlers Card as specified per the Department of Health.
Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the areas of leadership, training, and supervision.
Proficient written and oral communication skills with other members of management, professional, and support staff.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Must be comfortable being in close contact with extreme temperatures, including cooking surfaces and walk-in freezers.
Ability to work primarily indoors, but also be available to work outside for events.
Must be criminally cleared.

Familiarizing yourself with the residents and their preferences and needs.
